Blogging Break.

I know I haven't been blogging much this week, I've been crazy busy. I'm taking this math course and it's the last class I need to take before recieving my Associates..YAY, but I totally suck at math so it's been really hard for me and I have to study, study, study like mad! Also, I've  been doing a lot of 'fall' cleaning and organzing before the holidays so all I have to do is focus on my schooling and cooking for the holidays. My family is coming to visit for Thanksgiving and they'll be here on Tuesday for a whole week!

Again, I'm sorry I haven't been blogging and I won't be blogging much for the next week or two. As soon as things get settled and I'm back on track I'll be back to blogging!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday break!

Now You Know Me.

It's time to for another round of 'Now You Know Me'. If your new, here's how you play. Every Monday, I am going to answer eight random questions so you guys can get to know me better. All I ask is that you answer the questions as well! Either put your answers in the comments or link your post answering these questions in the comments so I can get to know you guys better too! So let's jump in...

The Questions
1. If you had $500,000,000 to spend on plastic surgery, what would you have done?
2. Do you watch soap operas? If so, what is your favorite and why?
3. Favorite clothing brand?
4. An afternoon shopping spree at your favorite store or maid service for a year?
5. Would you ever vajazzie?
6. Favorite disney princess?
7. Last movie that made you bawl your eyes out?
8. Have you ever broken any bones? If so, which ones?

The Answers

1. If you had $500,000,000 to spend on plastic surgery, what would you have done?
I could have a billion dollars, but if I don't need any plastic surgery I'm not going to get it done. I am a firm believer though in the 'Mommy Makeover'.

2. Do you watch soap operas? If so, what is your favorite and why?
No I don't watch any, but I do watch Beverly Hills, 90210 on the Soap Network.

3. Favorite clothing brand?
This is a tough one because I don't really buy clothes based on brands. I do a lot of my shopping at Ross and they have all kinds of brands so I don't really have a favorite brand. Well, I do usually wear only Abercrombie jeans because I find they fit me the best.

4. An afternoon shopping spree at your favorite store or maid service for a year?
Definitely a shopping spree, I don't mind cleaning!

5. Would you ever vajazzie?
No way, not my style. Haha.

6. Favorite disney princess?
It's a toss up between Princess Jasmine and Belle.

7. Last movie that made you bawl your eyes out?
Hmm, I think I cried when I watched When Harry Met Sally the other week.

8. Have you ever broken any bones? If so, which ones?
I've never fully broken a bone, but I did crack my wrist snowboarding one time.

The Perfect Imperfections Tag

I've seen two YouTube beauty gurus, QueenBeeuty and Andrea's Choice do this tag and I thought this was such a good idea. No one's perfect and I know everyone has those crazy flaws about themselves that no one else seems to see. I know I do. In this tag I am going to tell you three flaws that I hate and than follow up with three things I really like about myself. I wasn't sure how I wanted to go about this tag, focusing on the physical flaws I see or the personality flaws. While I have physical insecurities I know that looks isn't always what it's about. So I thought I would break it into two sections, one physical and one personality.

PHYSICAL FLAWS...UGH!

1. My Man Hands! Go ahead and laugh but my hands are not girly at all. My fingers are short, my nail beds are short and wide, my knuckles are very wrinkly. I just totally dislike my hands so much!

2. Sicilian Hair! I have very dark, coarse hair on my arms and legs. If I don't wax or shave regularly than I would look like a gorilla, haha.

3. Right Eye! My right is more droopy, and a borderline lazy eye. Everything about my right is off. My eyebrow arch isn't as high as my left, my eyelid sags a little more, etc.

PHYSICAL LIKES...YAY!

1. Dark Olive Skin Tone! Yay for always having a perfect tan!

2. Great Assets! I am very pleased with my chest and booty size.

3. Muscle Tone! I love how I have a athletic body type without being too muscle-ee.

PERSONALITY FLAWS...UGH!

1. Jealousy Issues. I do not like how jealous I can get, it doesn't even have to be over a relationship.

2. Insecure. I am uber insecure. I wish I were more independent, brave, etc.

3. Needy. I am a very needy person. I have not excepted that it is okay to be alone.

PERSONALITY LIKES...YAY!

1. Girl Meets Boy. I love that I can be relaxed and hang with the boys, not afriad to get dirty, but that I also like getting dressed up, wearing cute clothes. I like to say that I'm the first to get into the mud pen but I'll be wearing my heels!

2. Caring. I think I am a really caring person. I will always put others before my self because making someone else happy makes me happy.

3. Organized Freak. I love that I am very organized!

iPod Loves.

I was going to blog about what music has been being played over and over on my iPod, but I kind of already talked about that in my Four. blog post so I thought I would do something a little different and tell you guys what is on my cleaning mix.

When I clean I love to put some good tunes on to keep my mind off of the work I am doing. I listen to a little bit of everything; ballads, rock, hip-hop, love songs, etc. So here is what is on my 'Cleaning Playlist'.

1. I Never Told You by Colbie Cailat
2. Shove It by Santigold
3. Don't Trust Me by Tupac
4. Jar Of Hearts by Christina Perry
5. Back Against The Wall by Cage The Elephant
6. Badfish by Sublime
7. Warm Machine by Bush
8. Before It's Too Late by The Goo Goo Dolls
9. Black & Gold by Katy Perry
10. Glory Box by Portishead
11. Here Comes Your Man by The Pixies
12. Beast Of Burden by The Rolling Stones
13. This Woman's Work by Kate Bush
14. Survival Of The Fittest by Mobb Deep
15. Help, I'm Alive by Metric

What do you like to listen to when you clean?

Fail.

I knew this week was going to be kind of busy so I wrote up all of the week's blog post and drafted them so all I had to do was press 'Publish Post' on the day I wanted them to be posted on. Well, my schedule got the best of me and I totally failed at posted some blog post. Sorry. I'm going to post Thursday's 'iPod Loves' post of the week and also a tag post. I hope everyone had a great week!

Wordless Wednesday

Four.

One of my favorite youtube beauty gurus, ForeverYours0727 did a '4Things Tag' and I thought it would be fun to do. I want to know your answers so comment or link your post!

Four Things In My Bag (Not Purse)
When I go on trips or take day trips, or if I know that I am going to be sitting for awhile I will take a 'fun' bag that has miscellaneous items to keep me busy. I always put the same things in it so here are four things in my 'fun' bag.

1. Nook, currently I am reading the Pretty Little Liars series, book one.
2. Nintendo DS, currently playing Cake Mania 3 (guilty pleasure, hehe).
3. iPod Nano/Headphones.
4. MacBook.

Four Things In My Purse
These items I always make sure that I have in my purse. I am going to exclude my wallet and cell phone from this to make it a little more interesting, but those are two items I always carry in my purse.

1. Burt's Bee Chapstick, this is my favorite chapstick! LOVE IT! I should do a review on the BB's products.
2. Girly Case, I have a small makeup bag that carries all my girly items like; tampons, nail file, nail clippers, mascara, toothpicks, bobby pins, hair ties, small can of hairspray, etc.
3. Perfume. Currently I have Bath & Body Work's black raspberry vanilla (not sure I got the name right)
4. Hand Sanitizer, I love to get them from B&BW because they smell so good!

Four Things In My Bedroom
Right now, my room is in shambles haha because I have been lazy.

1. Dresser, with clothes on top of it because I am too lazy to put them in the drawers, on my to-do list for tonight.
2. Air Filter. Works wonders!
3. Fan, but I'm about to put it up because it's getting cold here! Brrr!
4. Mirror, so I can do a 'once-over' before leaving the house!

Four Things I've Always Wanted To Do

1. Make a video for my YT channel... still haven't mustered up the courage.
2. Take a really nice, long vacay with the boyfriend and family where we can put work aside and just relax.
3. Own my own business, hopefully in the fashion industry
4. Embrace my curly hair. Kind of weird I know, but this is something that I am working on everyday and one day I just want to wake up and love my natural curly hair! Ha.

Four Things I'm Currently In To

1. Boots, every style from knee high, thigh high, motorcycle, etc.
2. Baking homemade cookies.
3. Beauty/Fashion blogs.
4. Obviously the letter 'B' because all of the above started with that letter haha.

Four Things You Didn't Know About Me

1. As much as I want to diet, diet, diet... I always seem to cheat because I can not resist chocolate! I love it too much!
2. I hate tomatoes! Eww.
3. I am half Japanese and half Sicilian, but look like I'm Mexican hah.
4. I hate having my bellybutton poked. Ooh!

Four Songs I Can't Get Out Of My Head

1. Serious by Legally Blonde The Musical
2. Again by Janet Jackson
3. Three's Company Too theme song
4. Dear John by Taylor Swift

Have A Wonderful Night!

4 Songs I Can't Get Out Of My Head
1. Secrets by One Republic but i LOVE IT hehe

2. Not really.
3. I really like eating french fries with ranch! Even if I am on the cleanest diet possible I will still have my french fry fix because I love them so much!
4. Ehh, not really. I use to watch our local parade when I was younger, but that old quickly. I like to watch the Macy's Day Parade, that's fun.
5. Besides this blog post, I'm watching Full House and putting off homework and my house duties, haha.
6. It's not really a movie, but I've been watching Legally Blonde: The Musical recently a lot.
7. Sometimes. I don't make it a habit, but I'll sometimes read it in the magazines.
8. I always love chocolate ice cream. But if I'm feeling more adventurous, I usually get Mint Chocolate Chip. Yum!

My Workout Routine

Current Workout Routine:
Since I took off a couple months of working out to get back into a routine and build my strength up again, I am going to start off with full body workouts three days a week, alternating days. On the in between days I will be doing cardio and a light activity. The other two days that are left are off days or optional cardio days. Here's how I break down my workout routine:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Workout Day
Tuesday, Thursday: Cardio Day, Light Activity
Saturday, Sunday: Optional Cardio Day, Off Day

Fitness Sources:
Before I do a day-by-day breakdown of my workout routine, I wanted to give you guys some sources that will help you get started. I use these these sources as well as my personal knowledge of fitness to put together my fitness routines.

BodyRock TV has great at home workouts that use mainly body weight. This site also offers diet tips and fitness advice.

Bodybuilding.Com offers a plethora of different workout routines, fitness and diet advice, and many great articles that are related to fitness.

Oxygen Magazine is a fun way to learn about different fitness routines, and other women in the fitness world.

Muscle & Fitness Hers is probably my favorite fitness magazine. It also gives you information regarding everything fitness.

Workout Routine:
*If you don't know what these exercises are you can look them up on Bodybuilding.Com

Monday, Wednesday, Friday
7AM -  Full Body Workouts that consist of 12-15 reps for 5 sets of the following exercises; side shoulder raises, bent-over back raises, skull-crushers, flat bench chest press, and hammer curls. I pick one weight that I can perform all these exercises with and I do each exercise back to back with lunges in between each one than I rest. Than repeat for five more sets. This workout lasts anywhere from 30-60 minutes.

8AM - Morning Cardio: I follow my morning workout with an hour of cardio. I usually do a combination of running at 5.5 mph and walking at 4.0 mph.

6PM - Evening Cardio: For my evening cardio I walk for 45 minutes.

Tuesday, Thursday
7AM - For my workout I want to give my body time to recover from the previous day so I usually do some kind of a light activity, whether it be yoga, pilates, or heavy stretching. If I do yoga or pilates it will last about 30 minutes. If I decide to stretch, it will last about 15 minutes.

7:30AM - Morning Cardio: I do a combination of running at 5.5 mph and walking at 4.0 mph.

6PM - Evening Cardio: For my evening cardio I walk for 45 minutes.

Saturday, Sunday
I don't have any set time that I workout or do cardio. I usually leave these days for relaxing and if I feel like going to the gym than I'll just do cardio, similar to my evening cardio. I'll also skip out on cardio these days if I am doing something outdoorsy like hiking, snowboarding, festivals, etc.

What do you do for your fitness routine?

Product Review: OPI Ski Teal We Drop Nail Polish

I purchases OPI's Ski Teal We Drop about three months. I've used it occasionally, I'd say probably once a month. Overall, I think it is a beautiful nail polish color, and I rate it a 8/10.

PRODUCT:
OPI Ski Teal We Drop Nail Polish

PROS:
Stays on, with no chips for a good 5 almost 6 days.
Not clumpy
Good size handle, easy to use
Brush is smooth and glides softly

CONS:
Expensive
Hard to clean off, kind of stains
Too dark for me (I prefer more natural colors, but I'd thought I'd try some color)

What are some of your favorite nail polishes?

Italian Fish & Veggie Pockets Recipe

Italian Fish And Veggie Pockets

I got this recipe from Everyday Italian from the Food Network. I make it with salmon though and it is delicous! Also, I love visiting the blog, Favorite Family Recipes It has so many great recipes that are really easy to do but make a great impression. Here's the recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, plus more for seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more for seasoning
  • 1 1/2 pounds sugar snap peas, stemmed
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 orange bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 (4-ounce) trout fillets, skinned (or other fish about 1/2-inch thick)
  • 8 thin slices lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped mint leaves

DIRECTIONS

Special equipment: 4 large sheets of aluminum foil or parchment paper
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a small bowl mix together the lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Lay out the 4 sheets of aluminum foil. Place 1/4 of the sugar snap peas, 1/4 of the yellow bell peppers, and 1/4 of the orange bell peppers on each sheet of foil. Over each pile of vegetables drizzle 2 tablespoons of white wine, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and gently toss.
Top each pile of seasoned vegetables with a piece of fish. Sprinkle the fish with some of the reserved lemon zest mixture. Top each fish with 2 slices of lemon.
Fold up the foil into an air-tight packet. Place the foil packets in the oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes depending on the thickness of the fish. Sprinkle the fish with mint just before serving.

October Favorites!

Um, its November?!? When did this happen, haha?!? In my past blogs, I have been doing a series called, 'I'm Obsessed With.' In these posts I blog about products, television shows, websites, books/magazines, misc items that I have been obsessed with. I decided that I am no longer going to be doing this series but instead I will be doing a monthly favorites. The context will be the same as I will be blogging about items that I used a lot, were obsessed with, and/or really were loving, except it will be for that month specific. I wasn't sure if I should do mini product reviews when I talk about my favorites of the month or just simple post about what I was obssessed with. I think what I will do is talk about my monthly favorites, but than do product reviews on each of the things I talked about. What better way to start this new series but with a monthly favorites blog post for October! Yay!

Here are a few things I have been obsessed with over this last month...

BEAUTY

Victoria Beckham Intimately Perfume For Her
Looooove this perfume! I get so many compliments when I wear this, it smells so good! Now, I've never really been fond of celebrity fragrances and I wasn't really into this one at first. I got it a two christmas' ago and smelt it once but didn't really think anything of it. I just recently brought it out from my makeup storage and I am so happy I did. I can go on and on about this product so maybe I will do a product review.

CoverGirl Lash Blast Length Mascara
Okay, I know I mention this product in like every blog post regarding my favorite items or most used items, but thats how much I love it! I have a product review on this mascara and I'm sure you guys are sick of hearing about this so I'll just leave it at this.

Revlon Perfect Heat 1' Curling Iron
I watched a documentary on Taylor Swift and I loved how she styled her hair throughout the video. I love how she embraces her natural curls and does so many cute hairstyles. I also found the fact that she styled her own hair when she was on her Fearless tour by herself. I thought, 'well maybe I can style my hair like hers'. I brought my revlon curling iron out of storage and have been messing around with it. I like how it makes my curls defined.

FASHION

Gray/Black Animal Print Scarf
The weather here has been changing and it is getting colder every day. I've been wearing this lightweight, thick animal print scarf. It's not super thick so I can still wear it during the warmer days, but if I pair it with a great jacket and long sleeve, it keeps me warm

Handbag Heaven's Double Danielle Satchel
I just recently purchased this handbag and I love it! I love how you get three bags in one! It can be a satchel, shoulder bag, and a cross-body bag. it has three different pockets, cellphone and misc side pockets, and it comes in two beautiful colors! I wanted to get both, but I settled with black.

MISC

Baking
I've been baking like crazy. Homemade everything! Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, chocolate cupcakes with milk chocolate frosting, cinnamon rolls, etc.

Working Out
I took a little break from working out and I just got back into it! I'm so happy I am too. I feel better and look better when I work out.

I'd love to know what your favorites were in the month of October.

Now You Know Me...

It's my last week in class this week so I have two finals to take. Wish me luck!!

Question & Answer:
What is your definition of sexy?
I believe a person is sexy when they can just be their complete self. I know I feel sexiest when I'm comfortable and just being goofy with my boyfriend.

Would you rather clean up puke or change a poopy diaper?
Eww, both are gross but I'd rather change a poopy diaper.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
I'm an introvert I guess because I do love to spend time by myself, but I'm also really friendly and outgoing and love spending time with other people so I guess I'm both.

If you had to give up one of your five senses for a year, which one would you give up?
Ooh, this is tough. I think I would give up my taste sense.

Cake or pie? Definitely cake. Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting to be exact.

If you could play any character on TV, who would you play?
I would play Buffy.

My favorite website is?
Oh weird, I was actually going to do a blog post on all my favorite websites in just a few days. I think I visit YouTube the most, but besides that I love the website People.

The highlight of my day is?
Well my day just got started so nothing so far, but the highlight of yesterdays day was having my boyfriend come home safely from work.

*I know I've been saying I'm going to be redoing my blog but I really am... right after my finals. So look forward to that!*
